After a bit of a tricky first day in St. Andrews, the rest of our trip was fantastic. We checked out the bustling farmer’s market where I bought bouquets of sweetpeas and heather for some of the vases in our exhibition at the Sunbury Shores Art & Nature centre; Lee was enthralled by the bow-maker’s wares; we splurged on sourdough olive fougasse at the bakery stall; we bought a bunch of gorgeous vegetables for snacks; I chose a tiny little jewel of a landscape painting by Anne Johnston, and some delicious soaps by Earth Mama Essentials (I should have taken a photo, but I was too busy chatting with my a new friend, oops!). Then we spent an entire glorious afternoon swimming at Katy’s cove, catching crabs, letting them go, examining jellyfish, and doing summer just right. The day after our opening, the fog rolled in, and it felt a little bit like fall. We’re off to Vancouver next (jesters!). Time marches on…
