Xanthe Evelyn Fidel Clark was born at 9:20pm on August 7th. Her birth was long and fast and gorgeous and scary (at times) and full of love. Her name means “golden” or “yellow”. It’s a sunny time to be born. Xanthe was also the name of one of the original Amazon warrior-women.
Evelyn is a family name, and Fidel was given to me in a dream. I’ll be talking lots more about her names, and my pregnancy and her birth in my upcoming podcast (you can find my previous episodes on iTunes–search for “The Bauhauswife Podcast”).
I will also be sharing the film footage of her birth in the documentary on Freebirth that I’ve been working on for several years, along with footage from my six previous births. The documentary will be released in the fall, and if you’d like updates, join my mailing list HERE.
And if you’re interested in looking at photos of Xanthe’s birth, part one of the photo-essay of here birth can be found here. Please be aware that these photos contain nudity, and explicit images of normal, beautiful childbirth.
