Four Years

October 19, 2012 by Yolande 4 Comments

Four years ago today, we were blessed beyond measure by the arrival of our boy, Horus.  Sweet guy, you are a bright star.  We love you!

Rainbows.

And a quiet day at home.

As requested by our birthday boy, an apple-banana-cinnamon-honey cake.  (We made it together last night).

And then Horus woke up to some presents: a new wooden fire truck, some National Geographic animal books, a birthday crown, and a new bow handcrafted by Dad (the first one broke from over-use!).

After breakfast, we all went out together to pile wood.

And then a walk in the woods.

Happy Birthday! xoxoxoxoxo

I would definitely like to know how to make a apple-banana-cinnamon-honey cake! Maybe a blog post on forgewellness?

I remember reading about picking up facial ques and that when a person smiles with their chin down it means that it’s not a sincere smile, but when the chin is tilted up, it is. I’ve always noticed that Horus and Tree have their chins tilted up (and their head thrown back) when they smile for pictures…and pretty much any time they smile 🙂

Yes! You’re going to totally get a chuckle out of this, but we made a “cooking show” video of our cake-making! I actually think it might be too dorky to share with the world (nevermind birth videos!). I’m still thinking about it. Recipe???? Hm. 1 part Horus, 1 part Treva, couple of bananas, couple of apples, craziness, some honey…oh dear. I’m confused. Ok. I’ll get it together and post it soon. These woodfirings really put a cramp in my internet style. xo
