I’ve said this with each baby, and I always wonder if it’s luck, or chance, (I’m sure both have much to do with it), but for me, mothering does get easier with every new little one. Xanthe is a dream, and while in some ways her first two weeks have been dream-like, I didn’t have much time to loll around in bed after her birth–and that’s ok. The summer has rolled along, and there has been swimming and playing, and visits with friends. Xanthe is happy and peaceful, and so easygoing–I suppose she doesn’t have much choice, considering the generally cheerful family chaos she was born into. We all adore her. Coming up very soon (I promise!) are the photos of her birth, and a very very special (and extremely intimate) slideshow of birth images.
