The weather here is hot and sultry and sticky, and we have been spending long afternoons in the Shiktehawk river, and the Big Presque Isle (the little river), between bouts of piling wood and kiln-cleaning…I’m so glad I managed to catch a photo of Felix’s brand new teeth…He’s just heartbreakingly sweet these days (as always).
The photograph of Horus with the goofy expression at Great-Gramy’s house was taken on a visit during which he was at his most unpleasant…(I actually tried to edit out that photo because that grin irritates the heck out of me, but couldn’t figure out how…) We are all going through adjustments, and I think like everyone, it can be challenging to simply be…a family. But we’re ok, and grateful for sun & summer things.
I have had a tough week, but have been pretty overwhelmed by the compassion and generosity of my readers in this last little bit. Thank you.
I hope wherever you are, you’re enjoying the gorgeousness out there.

I find myself drifting over to your pictures of Felix whenever I’m feeling tired or blue. His huge eyes and heartfelt smile are like this soothing balm.
See you soon, Friend.
